Me. The one who wrote Stillability. The woman who can lie in bed all day. The woman who wants to lie in bed all day. What is happening to me? Skating practice was canceled today. My response?

Buuut, I waaaaanna skaaaaaaaaaate!

Adult in head: Well, honey, you could go to a local roller rink.

Nooooooooo! I wuh-wuh-wunt t-t-t-to skate with th-th-the rooooooller girrrrrrrls!

Oh. My. Gawd! Who am I? I haven't skated since last Wednesday. It's not like I haven't gotten a workout. Remember that snowfall this past weekend? Yes, that one. I did a hell of a lot of sweating with a shovel. But, did I mention that I haven't skated since last Wednesday?

I left for work this morning, navigating through my icy neighborhood in hiking boots, trailing my rolling backpack behind me. Come hell or high slush, I was packed and ready to roll--on eight wheels, that is!

Okay, fine. So, why am I so upset? Am I really that hooked? Does it happen that quickly? Dayum!
