I don't know whether Kelly Lindsey will prove herself to be a successful coach or not, and she clearly had some communication issues with her bosses, but no one wants to get involved with management that will make statements like those in this article. Unprofessional in the extreme. Envirogal says it best:

Ok, I have a new candidate for "WPS staff member who most deserves to be fired" - the NJ PR person. The more the management talks, the worse they are coming across, but no one seems to be able to get them to shut up.

And for the record, I still think Lindsey should have stuck it out, but boy would I not want to work for those guys. Sounds like it's just been a miserable environment all season long, for everyone.

Sky Blue has been screwy all year, clueless in every way imaginable. First, they bring in a good coach but give him all soccer power in the organization, then cut him loose and bring a marketing guy over as GM with the asst. coach serving as interim. This "marketing" guy then gets into second-guessing the coach and oversteps his role by dealing with personnel that is under the purview of the coach.
