My friend sent me this clip from Powell-Peraltas 1986 skate video; “Public Domain, A Video Extravaganza in Living Color and Drop Dead B&W; (Bones Brigade Video Four)” featuring Lori Rigsy, Anita Tenneshon & Sofie, talking about the place for girls in skateboarding.

It’s so inspiring to see the girls shredding it with the guys when skateboarding was such a new sport, and amazing to see how far girls skateboarding has come and mad to think that future girl skateboarders may look back on Jenna’s ‘As If, And What’ Video 20 years on in the same sort of light, and we will all be 40!!

Lori Rigsby is still killing it though, and if anyone has any information on Anita Tenneshon or Sofie, please get in touch, would be great to see what they are up to now!
