In breaking news, we have a new Strikeforce 135 pound champion. Marloes Coenen defeated Sarah Kaufman via armbar at 1:59 of round three. Coenen was more than happy to trade strikes with Kaufman in the first two rounds, with Kaufman taking down Coenen late in the second round. Kafuman took down Coenen landing strikes in the guard, but Coenen was able to grab onto an arm and getting the submission.

With the win, Coenen will defend her title next against #5 ranked and Strikeforce grand prix winner Miesha Tate, but first, Coenen has to fight Lena Buytendijk, in Holland this weekend at the Untied Glory 12 event in Holland.

MMa Fighter Carina Damm

#2 ranked 125 pounder Carina Damm, as well as several other fighters were stranded in Macau, China this week, as the promoter of the Fury 2 mma card embezzled more than $300,000 and cancelled their hotel and return airline tickets. The news was broke by MMA Rising this past week. Damm was able to obtain a ticket to leave, but some fighters aren’t so lucky. Authorities are still trying to find the promoter.

After some minor setbacks, Freestyle Cage Fighting announced this week they will be holding an all female card Nov. 20 in OK to help support the fight against breast cancer. The Pink Card will have fighters from around the U.S. coming to fight for the cause. Matches will be announced in the next few weeks.
