Elite 5-star recruit Jazmine Jones commits to Louisville

Louisville nabs another top tier recruit, as they received a verbal pledge from 5-star recruit Jazmine Jones, per multiple sources.

It’s safe to say that Louisville’s head coach, Jeff Walz, has a beaming smile on his face, as five-star recruit — and one of the most gifted athletes in the 2016 class — Jazmine Jones, has decided to continue her basketball journey with Cardinals, per sources.

For much of the recruiting process, recruiting aficionados behind the scenes presumed that Jones would take her unique skillset to her hometown Florida State Seminoles. However, after taking an official visit to Louisville this past weekend, Jones decided that playing for the Cardinals was the best fit for her.

Jones might be the most athletically gifted athlete in the 2016 class. Couple her commitment with the pledges of top-flight recruits Kylee Shook and Sydney Zambrotta, this is shaping up to be another great class for Louisville. Her other finalists were Ohio State, Miami and the aforementioned Florida State.
