How tall is DeHaan, exactly? I don't think they told us.... How good for women's college basketball was this game? A huge crowd in East Lansing, national television, fiercely competitive. Now if they could only find some announcers who don't want to see the fans die of alcohol poisoning.

In the first half, the Buckeyes selected shots like a Florida State football recruit selects SAT answers: at random. Even though Ohio State got it together significantly in the second, the Spartans had every opportunity to win. A few more made free throws, a few more shots going in instead of in and out, and there are no more undefeated teams in the Big Ten. This was the OSU that has not been lucky in big games (or, if you believe in the statistically controversial concept of clutch, has not been clutchy in big games). Although they're now almost sure to cruise to a record sixth straight Big Ten regular season title, they haven't won a commensurate number of Big Ten tournaments. Nor have they really had the kind of March Madness success they ought. With the combined play of Prahalis and Lavender, the Buckeyes survived this time, but they will need better efforts from other contributors to advance farther this year.

To finish on another broadcasting note, perhaps CBS could schedule something other than UConn destroying yet another top ten opponent? Oklahoma State/Baylor would have been a good choice.
