Yanina Wickmayer accepted a wild card to play in the ASB Classic

Yanina Wickmayer accepted a wild card to play in the ASB Classic women’s tennis tournament.

Wickmayer was banned from the Sony Ericsson Tour for 1 year but a Belgian civil court lifted that ban on last week and the International Tennis Federation said she was free to return to the women’s tour.

Organizers of the ASB Classic immediately offered her a wild card, she accepted and will be the tournament’s third seed based on current entries.

Nice to see a great talent like Yanina on Tour again!!!
