Yanina Wickmayer susp for one year ended by Belgian Anti-Doping Tribunal

At the begging of October we learnt that Yanina Wickmayer needed to face a Belgian Tribunal and today we have the results.

Yanina Wickmayer has been suspended for one year by a Belgian anti-doping tribunal for allegedly failing to report her whereabouts to anti-doping officials three times.

The Flemish regional tribunal said in a statement that the minimum one-year sanction is “reasonable.”

Tribunal spokesman Koen Uman says the suspension takes immediate effect, but can be appealed by Wickmayer.

Wickmayer has denied any wrongdoing and says on her Web site she will appeal the suspension.
