Hi, I'm Hanne Lyngstad and I write Irunthereforeiblog to inform and teach you who are interested in training and gear. I'm a runner and I raced my first competition in '90. I've liked the individual competition a lot, and now running is my lifestyle. Through my former job at a running specialist store in Oslo, I have learned to appreciate quality gear and equipment. I have learned to distinguish between a good shoe and a not so good. I love seeking the good feelings of training, and hopefully you will enjoy reading about it!

I have had a few easy days and tried to rest as much as possible. I have run once or twice a day and only in a slow pace. The side walks are nightmares now. Snow and road salt = bad combination.

Tonight I'm running something like 10x300 m at Ekeberghallen. That's an indoor facility here in Oslo with a funny surface and curved bends. Not a very quick surface, but fine. You just have to change your spikes to indoor spikes like the ones in the picture.

The work with isolation underneath Bislett Stadion is not completet yet. Unbelievable timing when it's freakin' cold outside...! But anyway, Bislett is suppose to be finished by February 8. Not that far away!

Until then, I will switch to indoor spikes:)

I am new to your blog in case I am asking a question you have already addressed. But do you ever run on a treadmill? If so, what are your favorite workouts?

Thanks for popping by my blog!

I run a lot on the treadmill during the winter. But I'm not a huge fan of this device. If the conditions are good, I run outside. But lately the conditions have been quite bad here in Oslo, and I have to run at least my hard session on the treadmill. I just think it's soooo boring:)

I like better to run intervals than easy slow long runs. I like to do 8x5min with 1 min rest. I jump off the treadmill while resting. I also like to do 20-25x45sec with 15sec rest. Very easy to do on a treadmill. And you feel you're flying because you can go very fast!

Do you use the treadmill a lot?

Good luck with your training:)
Hanne
