What a game! Or more accurately, what a first half! Duke gave UConn a run for their money on Monday night, well, for at least the first 20 minutes. Even though the Blue Devils had some difficulties rebounding on defense, they only went into halftime with a ten point deficit. It helped that Maya Moore and Tina Charles spent some time on the bench in foul trouble. Unfortunately, there are two halves to every game. The Huskies turned up the heat in the second stanza creating another notch in their ever expanding belt of wins which is now set at 57.

The Huskies crossed #2 Stanford, #3 Notre Dame, and now #7 Duke off its list of list of potentials threats of thwarting UConn’s coveted undefeated season. UConn will be playing at Notre Dame again on March 1st. Hopefully, the Fighting Irish will actually do what its name implies this time. However, I don’t see Notre Dame as a real threat despite having home field advantage. Seriously, UConn was swatting away Notre Dame shots like pesky flies on Saturday night. How can you counter shear tenacity and athleticism? Notre Dame has a few weeks to improve, but I don’t think any team’s learning curve is that steep. From the look of things, the Huskies may be well on their way to shattering the 70 game win-streak set in 2001-2003. Oh, the lack of competition this year….

It's beginning to become boring watching the Huskies play against any team. Who wants to see 30 point blow outs?? Boring...
