The United States will take on Canada for the gold medal at the first-ever IFAF Women's World Championship at 7pm / 1pm EST on Saturday, July 3, having dominated Finland 72-0 to win Group A this evening.

Results from Group A and B:

Group A Group B

USA 2-0 Canada 2-0

Finland 1-1 Germany 1-1

Austria 0-2 Sweden 0-2

Kansas City Tribe running back Rusty Sowers three touchdowns. Nine different US players scored touchdowns, including DC Divas' running back Okiima Pickett, whom I interviewed here.

Team USA has scored 135 points in two games and HAVE NOT BEEN SCORED ON ONCE, making them a favorite over Team Canada for Saturday. The Canadians have scored 32 points and conceded 18 in their two wins. Dream Team? I think yes.

There is a detailed recap of the game at the IFAF website.

Schedule for Saturday, July 3, 2010

11am Fifth Place game Austria vs. Sweden

3pm Bronze Medal game Germany vs. Finland

7pm Gold Medal game Canada vs. USA
