In the podcast below, I interview Jon Little, Attorney at Law out of Indianapolis, who represents multiple female athletes who have been victims of sexual molestation by their swimming coaches. Little explains how USA Swimming is trying to pass off the blame to the local clubs as well as deter victims from coming forward with their claims.

This is a difficult but must-listen for parents of young athletes, in swimming or other sports. Sports is supposed to be a positive experience for a young kid. It is where they learn discipline, build character and meet lifelong friends. They are supposed to be able to trust their coach. Their coach is supposed to be a mentor. Their coach is not supposed to take advantage of them. Unfortunately, that is what is happening, and the stories are sickening. Something has to be done to fix this systemic problem.

If you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual abuse by a coach, please visit Little's website at http://www.jonlittlelaw.com for contact information. On the home page, scroll down to click on the picture of the swimmer to get contact information for Little and a number of other lawyers helping athletes defend themselves against sexual predators.
