The "Hottest Games" List will bring you the Women's College Basketball games you just can't miss each week!

January 7- 7 pm ET Virginia vs. Florida State
The No. 19 vs. No. 11 match-up is the ACC opener for both teams. If you watch, you’ll see something out of the ordinary when looking at the Florida State bench. Head Coach, Sue Semrau will coach barefoot during the game, which they are calling the Samaritan’s Feet game. Florida State is teaming up with Samaritan’s Feet for the second year in a row, an organization that aims to provide worthy children with a pair of shoes. As a major advocate of the organization, Coach Sue will not only coach barefoot, but also has signed a pair of shoes which will be awarded to one lucky fan who was entered into a drawing by bringing in a pair of new or slightly used shoes to donate!

January 7- 7:30 pm ET Cincinnati vs. Connecticut
If you look at all the games I listed, this game is most likely going to stand out as the one that doesn’t belong. Don’t worry; I realize that the Bearcats are extremely outmatched against the No. 1 UConn Huskies. I just couldn’t help myself to add it to the list as a Cincinnati Native. "There's a part in the movie "Space Jam" where the basketball players have lost all their mojo," Bearcats coach Jamelle Elliott said. Tuesday. "I'm hoping something miraculously happens and Maya [Moore] can no longer dribble and Tina [Charles] can no longer catch." Coach Elliott is a former Huskies stand-out rebounder and 12-year assistant coach, so she knows what to expect when playing against her alma mater. Though she can only be optimistic, she doesn’t have misguided expectations for the results of this game.

January 8- 10 pm ET Stanford vs. USC
Although Stanford leads the all-time series 43-19, USC managed to knock off nationally ranked Arizona State and Arizona last weekend. This led to USC shooting up to the top of the PAC-10 Conference rankings along with Oregon, UCLA and Stanford, making this a battle of two teams undefeated in their conference.

January 9- 2 pm ET Ohio State vs. Michigan State
OSU may lead the all-time series between these two Big Ten teams, but they split last season with MSU winning the match-up in East Lansing and OSU winning the game in Columbus. Michigan State has started their Big Ten play 2-2 with losses to Indiana and Wisconsin, but the Spartans have posted big wins in non-conference games such as victories against UNC and Xavier. Ohio State’s wins against nationally ranked teams include then-15 Cal and Duke. Will Jantel Lavender or Allyssa DeHaan lead their team to a Big Ten win?

January 9- 4 pm ET UNC vs. Connecticut
The No. 7 ranked North Carolina Tarheels will probably have a better shot than my Bearcats against Connecticut as they hope to bring the Huskies their first loss of the season, or at least their first close game. The UConn women have yet to win by any less than 12 points (vs. Stanford) and even the opposing coach in that game admitted that “[The Huskies] are definitely head and shoulders above us and play at a different pace”. Before the game vs. The Cardinal, UConn had yet to win a game by any less than 25 points and were averaging a 46-point margin of victory.

January 9- 6 pm ET Texas vs. Texas A&M
The Texas Longhorns have suffered three losses so far this season, to UConn, Tennessee and USC, while Texas A&M has only one loss to TCU by 2 points. Texas is ranked No. 20 compared to the Aggies No. 10. But we all know rivalry games are on a whole different level than any other game, so with a rivalry as big as the Lone-Star Showdown, either team could come out with a win.
