Possible Wooden Winners

The John R. Wooden Award is the most prestigious individual honor in college basketball. It is awarded to the nation’s best player at an institution who has prove to his or her university that he or she is making progress toward graduation by maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0. The weekend of April 9-11 will be when the winners of the Men’s and Women’s category of the award are announced. So for now, the mid-season watch list has been announced as a list of possible candidates for the award. The Big East leads the way with four players making the list. They are followed by the ACC and CAA, each with three players, the Pac-10, Big 10, Big 12 and SEC each with 2 players. The Sun Belt Conference, Atlantic 10 and WCC each have one player on the list. The Mid-Season Watch List is as follows:
