January 18 7 pm ET – Connecticut vs. Duke
The Huskies will face the Blue Devils at the historic Cameron Indoor Stadium tonight. Tina Charles took an opportunity in their post-game press conference Saturday to explain her feelings about the game. “I’m excited,’’ she said. “Just watching the men’s games and women’s games, and just how their fans are… And just that atmosphere in their gym, I’m excited about it.’’ Duke hasn’t lost a game at home since February of 2008. When Connecticut plays at Duke there is always a bigger crowd than normal. Even the Duke women’s first sold out game was when they played UConn in 2003. Tonight’s game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
January 20 8 pm ET – Oklahoma State vs. Texas
Both Texas and OK State are coming off wins into this game. Texas topped Texas Tech in double overtime on Sunday, finishing 95-90. While, the Cowgirls of Oklahoma State pulled out a 10 point win over Kansas State. This match-up will be a home game for the 12-5 Longhorns.
January 21 7 pm ET – Ohio State vs. Michigan
The Buckeyes won the first meeting of the season between these two rivals, but with a rivalry as big as OSU/Mich anything can happen. Most would predict the ‘W’ will go to the 19-1 Bucks, who are also undefeated in the Big Ten. Although, you can’t forget that the Wolverines, who are only 2-5 in the conference and 10-7 overall, managed to finish the last game only 3 points short of the Buckeyes. Be sure to tune into the Big Ten Network on Thursday for this rivalry match-up!
January 21 7 pm ET - Georgia vs. Tennessee
Both teams have one loss right now, but after this game that’s going to have to change for either the Bulldogs of Georgia or the Vols of Tennessee. The Georgia women are 17-1 on the season so far, and Tennessee is 16-1. The Volunteers will have to stop Ashley Houts and Jasmine James, who both flirted with triple-doubles in the Bulldogs win over Arkansas on Sunday. You can check out this game on ESPN 360.
