I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was when I found out I would get to interview Tamika Catchings. I remember watching her play at Tennessee and thinking she was such a hard-worker. I knew she was now playing for the Indiana Fever, and have been planning to go to some of their games this summer. I was excited because Tamika is an incredible ball player; she works hard every second she is on the court and has succeeded at every level of basketball. Since I've played basketball my whole life, I obviously jumped at the chance to talk with Tamika, but her skills on the court weren't the only reason. Off the court, Tamika has poured her heart into the community through her Catch the Stars Foundation. She is just an all-around awesome person.
