According to Emily's LIST, one of the organizations protesting Focus on the Family's Superbowl ad, CBS has refused in the past to air what it referred to as 'controversial' ads, including those by MoveOn.org and the United Church of Christ (the UCC ad focused on a message of inclusivity for LGBT people and others). Now that a right-wing group wants in on the action, however, the policy has changed. No wonder people are so ticked off.
