As surprised as I was to find exclamations such as "Come on, Patty" rolling from my lips during the thrilling men's hockey game against Canada,* along with spontaneous shrieks, screams, curses, and excited clapping...the Canadians kicked our asses in that game. They skated faster, moved the puck better, even looked physically bigger. Most of the second period seemed like one long Canadian power play. We needed a quick own goal, a couple more redirections, and Ryan Miller standing on his head to pull that win out. They are going to be pissed if we meet them again, and that's not a good thing for a huge talent gap.

*I strongly dislike Patrick Kane in everyday life. Who gets drunk and beats up a cabdriver?
