I turn to Envirogal and remark "Somewhere, the BC Fan is freaking. out." It was a long-running joke last year, our friend's "anyone but Yokers!" sub policy, long past the time when Yokers actually got decent out there....

Yesterday evening marked the first time in team history that FC Gold Pride won two games in a row, a dubious honor that we hope will soon be forgotten in a season of successes. The side continued its previous strategy of playing well for the first and final ten minutes of the game, which was enough to defeat Atlanta, especially after Tobin Heath went off early with an injury. Abily stepped up her game and distributed the ball accurately and energtically, so it's something of a mystery why she only played the first half. The Beat's teen phenom Ramona Bachmann is just as good as advertised, with an explosive first step and great quickness, and with the continued disorganization of the Pride defense only Barnhart's exploits prevented some embarrassing goals. It's time for Albertin Montoya to think about keeping some defenders at home more often and not playing quite as high a line. Nevertheless, a win is a win, and there continues to be much promise to build on.
