Storm PG Sue Bird (pictured right) is due in Seattle Wednesday evening, making Thursday her first practice with the team. Afterward she'll participate in a live chat via The Seattle Times.
Bird, who's entering her ninth season with Seattle, will answer just about any question you have about the upcoming season and more beginning at 3 p.m. It's part of the newspaper's series of chats with local sports newsmakers.

G Tanisha Wright is sole starter left to return. She'll meet the team in Tulsa for the final exhibition game this weekend along with offseason acquisition, F Le'coe Willingham. Free agents in forwards Svetlana Abrosimova (Russia) and Jana Vesela (Czech Republic) will join the Storm the week of May 10, given time by Storm coach Brian Agler to handle family business before reporting to camp.
Vesela played in Spain and needed to return home after winning the Liga Feminina championship last week. Abrosimova, who helped her team win the Russian Cup, recently purchased a home, according to Agler, and needed to close on the deal. While they're arriving late, neither is guaranteed a spot on the 11-player roster.
"It could go down to the wire," said Agler of his final cuts.
In other news, Vesela was named to the 18-player Czech Republic national team. She can't train with the team until after her tryout with Seattle, however. The World Championships is in her native country in September.
"Jana is an excellent player. However, anything can happen. It is quite possible that she will join the team as late as the start of September," said Lubor Blazek, head coach of the Czech Republic's national team. "That is why we have players who can play her position."
