Most Storm players had what F Swin Cash called a "mental" day of practice on Thursday. Some rested their bodies and minds while others like Sue Bird took shots and reserves Abby Bishop, Alison Lacey, Jana Vesela, and Ashley Robinson "opened up a can" on the male practice players in a four-on-four game.

The team has one more session Friday in Seattle before traveling to Los Angeles for Saturday's Game 2 matinee at Staples Center. The Storm leads the series 1-0, possessing the deeper team due to key injuries on LA's roster.
