Maya Gabeira grabs Billabong XXL Award

Maya Gabiera of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil took home a BIllabong XXL Award for the second time in her career. She was awarded for Women's Performance at the 10th annual Global Big Wave Awards ceremony in Southern California and took home a fat check.
She was in good company of the major big wave chargers across the world. Other nominees included Keala Kennelly (Honolulu, Hawaii) Mercedes Maidana (Buenos Aires, Argentina) Savannah Shaughnessy (Santa Cruz, CA) and Jamilah Star (Santa Cruz, CA).
