Tom Timmermann reports that the Athletica is going to shut down. It appears as if A.C. St. Louis has survived.
I’m kind of at a loss of words here. Not the way I wanted my lunch break to go.
That is to say that anger should not be directed at WPS by any means for this. It really just comes down to a horrific mismanagement of resources by an ownership group, and a shortfall of cash.
It still stings though.
