The action in WPSL’s East Conference concluded this past weekend while there is still much to play for in the Midwest and Pacific Conferences. Two particular races in the Pacific will literally come down to the last day of the regular season. Here’s where we are:

Big Sky Conference

Oklahoma Alliance F.C. won the Big Sky-South as they defeated second-place Fort Worth Panthers 4-0. They finished with a solid 6-1-0 record.

Meanwhile in the North, just two points separate the Phoenix Del Sol and the Arizona Rush. The pair will play the Utah Starzz and Salt Lake City Sparta respectively for a chance in the playoffs.

Sunshine Conference

Three teams will duke it out for the lone playoff spot in the conference as FSA Freedom hold a slim two point lead over both the Miami Kickers F.C. and Brandon FC. Palm Beach United is just three points behind the leaders so they could also conceivably win the conference. The Freedom and Kickers meet this Saturday while Brandon FC and Palm Beach United also meet.

Midwest Conference

FC Milwaukee Nationals have clinched the Midwest-North. Chicago Eclipse Select will have a must-win game this Friday against the KUFC Spirit if they intend to pass the Iowa Rush and finish second.

In the South, Fort Wayne S.C. and Ohio Elite Women’s SC will finish at the top of the table but the order is still to be decided. OP Elite will need to win against Carmel United SC to clinch first.

Pacific Conference

The California Storm have clinched the Pacific-North Division for the third year running. North Bay F.C. have two matches left to play against third-place BSC Portland. If Portland wins both, they will finish second and qualify for the play-offs.

The South remains fairly wide open as LAFC Chelsea currently holds a slim two-point lead in the division but Ajax America still has a game to play while LAFC Chelsea has only one. The San Diego Lions are also still in contention but also have just one game remaining.

East Conference

The Boston Aztec (or Boston Breakers Reserves) have won the Noretheast Division while the Long Island Fury have won the Central Division. These teams have earned the top two seeds and will receive a bye into the Eastern Conference semifinals.

The Mid-Atlantic champions Lancaster Inferno will be the third seed while the second-place team from the Northeast the Boston Aztec U-23 will be the fourth seed. The second-place side from the East-Central division Millburn Magic have nabbed the fifth seed while ASA Chesapeake Charge have earned the final seed. They will play in place of the Philadelphia Independence who have foregone their inclusion in the playoffs due to scheduling conflicts.
