Pat Summitt talks about former Tennessee football coach Lane Kiffin during an appearance before the big Orange Tipoff Club on Wednesday.
During her weekly teleconference yesterday she said that Kiffin’s decision to leave the school after only 14 months is
a “tough blow” and left everyone disappointed and unhappy.
“We’re all very disappointed he made the decision to leave after one year,” she said. “It’s been hard for all of us.”
She said Tennessee must must move on and focus on finding a replacement. However, she did acknowledge that Kiffin’s quick exit could spell trouble for recruiting.
