Most Valuable Player – Lauren Jackson, Seattle Storm
Jackson received 323 points (22 first place votes) from a national panel of 39 sportswriters and broadcasters. She previously earned MVP honors in 2003 and 2007.

Defensive Player of the Year – Tamika Catchings, Indiana Fever
Catchings received 30 votes from a national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters, beating out the Chicago Sky’s Sylvia Fowles (seven votes), and Nikki Anosike and Tina Charles (one vote apiece). The first player in WNBA history to receive the honor four times, Catchings previously took home the award in 2009, 2006 and 2005.
Sixth Woman – DeWanna Bonner, Phoenix Mercury
Bonner received 16 votes from a national panel of 39 sportswriters and broadcasters to earn the award. New York Liberty forward-center Plenette Pierson finished second, garnering nine votes. Connecticut center Sandrine Gruda, Chicago Sky guard Epiphanny Prince, and Seattle Storm forward Svetlana Abrosimova finished tied for third, with three votes apiece.
Most Improved Player – Leilani Mitchell, New York Liberty
Mitchell received 29 out of 39 votes from a panel of local and national sportswriters and broadcasters, beating out other top candidates that included Atlanta Dream forward Angel McCoughtry, Indiana Fever center Jessica Davenport, and Washington Mystics forward-center Crystal Langhorne and forward Monique Currie.
Coach of the Year – Brian Agler, Seattle Storm
Agler received 17 votes from a national panel of 39 sportswriters and broadcasters. New York’s Anne Donovan finished second with 13 votes while Washington’s Julie Plank placed third with nine votes.
