Stanford cuts JJ Hones

JJ Hones has been dismissed from the Stanford team for the ever-mysterious "violation of team rules." We never know what it was, but of course it makes us all curious. Because to be kicked off a team is a big move. Jake thinks the Card will be allright though:
No other details were given, but it eliminated any possibility that Hones would return for next season. How much she could have contributed next season was very much in question anyway. She had microfracture knee surgery last month, and it would probably have been at least until December before she could play. It might have taken another month after that, maybe two, for her to return to close to peak efficiency.
