Anosike suspended due to injury?

It seems that Minnesota Lynx forward Nicky Anosike was suspended after finding out she has a torn meniscus.

What??!!

I've never heard of any team doing anything like that before. Why?

I'm not sure I can root for the Lynx anymore if this is true.
