It hasn’t been a quiet month leading up to the WIBA welterweight title fight between Holly Holm and challenger Melissa Hernandez. Tickets for the fight are going fast according to NewMexicoBoxing.com, and the entire card is set to be aired via webcast at 7 pm Mountain Standard Time at FresquezProductions.com for $8.95. Boxing promoter Lenny Fresquez said that beginning Tuesday, November 1 registration to see the webcast will be open on the site.
Meanwhile, these two powerful fighters are getting some good press coverage. World pro boxing champ Chevelle Hallback, who has fought both women recently shared her thoughts on the upcoming match, including her views on each fighters potential strengths and challenges.
Fanhouse did a great interview with Hernandez that gives us all the smack and none of the slack that the “Huracan” is known and loved for. Boxing writer Bernie McCoy showed her “working the angles” just before Hernandez moved her moved her training camp to Colorado as well.
New Mexico Boxing covered their hometown girl Holly Holm, and included some great photos by Chris Cozzone.
