 Longoaria is the first Mexican native to be ranked #1 in the WPRBO tour.

Paola Longoria Post Match Interview

Paola is the first Mexican native to attain the #1 ranking on the Women's Professional Racquette Ball Organization tour during the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 season. Paola's style of play is characterized as a semi-western grip of the raquet. It's an unusual style for racquetball as she is the only pro player using it. 

In 2007 Longoria won her first WPRO title. In 2008-2009 season she won 4 out of 9 WPRO events, including the US Open Championship, the first Mexican - man or woman - to win the event.
