Tancredi was a defender at the University of Notre Dame. In 2003, she was named the Big East Defensive Player of the Year, was NSCAA Second Team All-Region, and was named to First Team All-American according to Soccer Buzz. She also helped lead the Irish to the NCAA Championship win. Upon graduation she joined the Canadian National Team. She made her CANWNT debut in an Olympic qualifier against Jamaica. She was part of the 2006 Canada’s Peace Queen Cup team and the CANWNT CONCACAF Gold Cup team, both of which took home 2nd place. She was part of the Olympic games in 2008 where she started in three games. She was also part of the Cyprus Cup team that finished 2nd in 2009.
