Sarah Hendrickson, 17, wins first U.S. National Ski Jumping title
Hughes is an American professional ski jumper. In 2006, she placed 8th at the Junior World Championships. She followed that with a bronze finish at the US National Championships in 2008 and 2009. She, again, placed 8th at the Junior World Games in 2009. At the US National Championships in 2011 she placed fourth. Hughes' longest jump was 132m at Park City's K120.
