Tara Dakides: Action, Boardsports, Wintersports

 Dakides is a professional American snowboarder and co-owner of O-matic Snowboards.

Dakides became involved in gymnastics, motocross, snowboarding, and and surfing as a child. In the 1999 Winter X Games she placed 2nd in the slopestyle and a gold in big air. In 2001 she placed 1st in the big air once again, at the Winter X Games. In 2001, Dakides placed first in the slopestyle at the Sims World Championships. In 2002 she took home gold in the slopestyle at the Winter X Games. In 2005 she was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards in the category of Choice Xtreme Female Athlete.
