Brittney Griner Will Be Back At Baylor For Senior Season

Griner is a 6'8 basketball star. She set the record for most dunks in a game (7 total) during a high school game against Aldine High School. During her high school career, she dunked a total of 52 times.

She went on to play at Baylor University. During her freshman season, she set a record for the most blocks in a season (223). During the 2010 season, Griner was ejected from their game against Texas Tech after punching Jordan Barncastle (Barncastle had tried throwing Griner to the ground). This incident was a hot topic disucssed within the basketbal community. She became the second female basketball player to dunk twice in a single game. Durin gthe 2012 season, she became the second women player to dunk in the NCAA tournament. Griner was a member of the 2012 Baylor team that took home the NCAA title.

Following the game, she was awarded with the coveted Wooden Award. She is one of twenty-one finalists competing for a spot on the U.S. Olympic team.
