McLeod is a Penn State University alum. She helped the Women Whitecaps win a championship in 2004 by scoring on a penalty kick shootout--mind you, she is a goalkeeper. She was part of the U-19 Canadian women national team that won silver in the inaugural tournament and played in the Women's Professional Soccer team for the Washington Freedom FC. She will play for Canada in the Women's World Cup in Germany 2011.
