A Brief Chat With Malindi Elmore And Liu Xiang

Canadian Athletes Now Fund Malindi Elmore Athletics

Elmore started her career at Stanford University. During her sophomore year (2001) she was a finalist in the 1500m at the World University Games in Beijing, China. While there she ran a career best 4:14.66, the third-fastest 1500m all-time in Stanford's history. Also that year, she finished 4th at the Canadian National Championships. In 2002, she finished fourth in the NCAA Indoor Championships in the mile. After graduating, she continued her education by studying to receive a masters degree in Environmental Design at the University of Calgary, she decided to continue to run professionally for Canada. She has represented Canada in the World Cross Country Championships, Olympic Games, World University Games, Commonwealth Games and Pan American Games.
