HITS Triathlon Series: Traverse, MI Date: October 6 - 07, 2012
"This event will call Shanty Creek Resort in Traverse City, Michigan its fall home. One of Michigan's premiere golf and ski destinations, Traverse City was ranked one of Michigan's top 10 Triathlon Towns by Competitor.com. Often referred to as Michigan's playground, Shanty Creek Resort overlooks the HITS Triathlon Series swim course on Lake Bellaire and provides the perfect backdrop to a challenging run and a bike course full of rolling hills. The site boasts 4,500 acres, four golf courses and pristine fall foliage. The colors will be in full swing in early October, begging athletes and spectators alike to come experience what Michigan has to offer."
"Each weekend event begin with a fitness festival on Friday and will feature A distance for everyone!TM. Our race events in Traverse City, MI are kicking off with the HITS Open on Saturday, October 6, 2012 and ending with the HITS Full on Sunday, October 7, 2012."
