Danskin Triathlon Series: Palm Spring Date: October 7, 2012

Lake Cahuilla Park is nestled at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains, about 30 miles southeast of famous Palm Springs. Lake Cahuilla’s calm waters provide a pleasant place for the ½ mile Swim with average October water temperatures in the 70’s. The triathlon course, approximately 50 feet below sea level, is ideal for first timers with cool mornings and mid-day temperatures in the 80’s. The BIKE route is a flat loop along rural low traffic roads and the RUN which is partly off-road on sand and dirt, circles the Lake to the Finish on the beach.
