Edgy Women Festival

Edgy Women is an annual feminist interdisciplinary arts festival produced by Studio 303. For its 20th anniversary, Edgy Women is putting on a series of dazzling events in unusual venues, around the theme of ARTS/SPORTS/GENDER.

This year, wrestling meets experimental theatre, hockey rules are re-written and a boxing club hosts a colloquium and a collaborative performance happening. In addition, four outspoken guest bloggers and vloggers have carte blanche to broadcast their personal perspectives on issues relating to the festival's political and artistic content.

We live in a world that promotes a rhetorical opposition between art (sensitivity/subculture/femininity) and sports (strength/mainstream/masculinity). The Edgy Women Festival is going to mix it up!
