New Balance Women's Steeplechase at the NB Boston Twilight Meet

Date: June 5, 2010

New Balance has proven yet again to be a wonderful supporter of track & field and in particular of female athletes. They are sponsoring an elite field of female steeplechasers at their Twilight Series Meet on June 5th at Bentley University track in Waltham, Massachusetts. The elite members of the field will be provided with travel funding, lodging and the opportunity to take home the following prize money:

1st Place - $1,000

2nd Place - $500

3rd Place - $250

In addition, AnnGaff will be in Waltham to cover the meet, with special focus on the women's steeplechase. So stay tuned for interviews with the athletes and a preview of the meet as well as information on coverage on meet day.

Roisin McGettigan - Irish National Record Holder (9:28.29), 4-time All-American at Providence

Shayla Houlihan - PR of 10:03 set at this year's Drake Relays. Houlihan is undefeated in the steeplechase in 2010. Check out our Skype video interview with Shayla.

Lesley Higgins - PR of 9:58, competed at the 2008 Olympic Trials, making it to the final where she finished 13th. 2-time All-American and 2-time Big XII Champion while at the University of Colorado. - Interview with Lesley coming soon!
