Jessica Eye vs Casey Noland Added To Bellator 51 CardA 125-pound women’s bout between Jessica “Evil” Eye and Casey “KO” Noland has been added to the Bellator Fighting Championships 51 card on September 24th in Canton, Ohio. The fight was officially announced by the promotion earlier today and serves as both fighters’ Bellator debuts.

Eye signed on with Bellator in June, but suffered the first loss of her career in an NAAFS title fight soon after. She had won eight straight fights prior to the setback, including three as a pro. Noland enters the Bellator cage after an impressive submission win in July and has tasted defeat just once.

Eye (3-1-0) earned five victories as an amateur in the Ohio-based North American Allied Fight Series promotion before turning pro on June 5, 2010. She picked up a pair of victories in NAAFS last year, then made her Ring of Combat debut in a 130-pound title tilt against Ashley “No Limit” Nee in February. Eye dominated the fight and captured the belt with a first-round TKO stoppage. However, she was upset by Aisling “Ais The Bash” Daly in an NAAFS 125-pound title fight in June and will look to bounce back from the loss next month in front of family and friends in Ohio.

Noland (3-1-0), a native of California, also earned a pair of victories last year, but suffered her first and only defeat to date in an April Ring of Fire title fight with Michelle “Bobcat” Blalock. The loss seemed to motivate Noland and she got back on the winning track on July 30th with a quick submission victory over Nina “The Macedonian Mauler” Ansaroff in North Dakota. The win was Noland’s biggest to date, and she will look to carry that momentum into her Bellator debut when she enters hostile territory. Like Eye, Noland holds two stoppage victories and has only been the distance once as a pro.

Bellator Fighting Championships 51 takes place on September 24th at the Canton Memorial Civic Center in Canton, Ohio. The bout between Eye and Noland could prove to be a pivotal one, as the promotion has discussed the possibility of staging a 125-pound women’s tournament in the future.
