Ohio star Jessica “Evil” Eye made a successful return to her roots in the North American Allied Fight Series tonight. The popular prospect earned a dominant Unanimous Decision victory over Jennifer “Superstar” Scott in a featured bout at NAAFS: “Night Of Champions 2011” in Canton, Ohio.

In the main event, NAAFS 125-pound women’s champion Aisling “Ais The Bash” Daly made the first defence of her new title with a second-round submission of the previously unbeaten Kelly Warren. Daly first captured the title by defeating Eye when the pair faced off in the NAAFS cage in June.

Eye (5-1-0) opted to stand and trade strikes with Scott (2-2-0, 1 NC) throughout much of their featured matchup. Despite Scott’s boxing pedigree, it was Eye who connected early and often with leg kicks and powerful hooks. Eye keep her opponent guessing with varied striking attacks, and while Scott answered back with punches of her own, she was never able to get anything going.

Eye maintained an advantage in the striking exchanges in all three rounds en route to a one-sided decision victory. She has now won back-to-back fights since suffering her first MMA loss to Daly.

Winner: Jessica Eye by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 5-1-0.

Not long after Eye’s victory, Daly (13-2-0) and Warren (3-1-0) stepped into the cage for Daly’s first NAAFS title defence. The Irish standout entered the bout with confidence and felt that she would be able to hold off the challenge of the previously unbeaten Warren. Daly’s prediction came true, but she needed close to two full rounds to secure victory.

Late in the second round, Daly locked on an armbar and a game Warren was forced to submit. Daly has won three of her four fights this year, with all victories coming by submission.

Winner: Aisling Daly by Submission (Armbar) at 4:39 of round two. She improves to 13-2-0 and remains the NAAFS 125-Pound Women’s Champion.

As a result of tonight’s wins, a rematch between Eye and Daly could be in the cards for an NAAFS event in 2012. Eye recently signed with Bellator Fighting Championships and won her promotional debut in September, but she has expressed interest in avenging her loss to Daly if an opportunity arose. All but two of Eye’s 11 mixed martial arts bouts have come inside the NAAFS cage. She once held the promotion’s amateur women’s title before turning pro last year.
