Hi Everyone,
I hope that you all have enjoyed your summer!! For me this summer has been one of recovering, rehab, and getting myself ready for a long road ahead. So as some of you may know my 1st Olympic Trial did not go the way I was hoping for and my road toLondon was cut short. My nerves got the best of me and I was not able to advance through the rounds. Although I was really disappointed, I am happy I was able compete at the 2012 Olympic Trials. That in its self is an accomplishment. ONLY 28 Women QUALIFIED, in the 400h, to be there and I was one of them. Thank you all for your good wishes/support and I WILL BE BACK!!
With that said I spent this time off to allow my body to heal and now its time to get back to work. I found a great training facility in Pasadena where I will be doing strength training, for this up-coming season, as well as work on other business ventures. I am excited to get back to work seeing as I had the entire summer to play!!! I think the time off did my body good and gave me a chance to mentally work through some things and get a handle on my career. I set goals that I plan to hit!! I am a hurdler so getting over barriers is what I do, there are times that you fall, or hit them but it is important to get up and attack them again; as I see it each GOAL is another barrier I need to get over. I am at the starting line I hope to see you all at the finish!!!
xoxo MacKenzie
