It’s been a while since my last post and I have recently been inspired!! Since I’ve decided to start on a wednesday… AKA Women Crush Wednesday I have to do my all-time favorite athlete SERENA WILLIAMS!!!

So this past weekend she won her 6th U.S Open title and 18th Grand Slam single, making her the second-oldest woman to win a major title in the Open era.  Williams has raised the bar to levels that seem unreachable to even the most elite tennis players, while keeping her down to earth, relatable attitude. She is a rare talent and a joy to watch.  However, the passion and fire extends past the game of tennis, it is shared with her love for fashion. Only two days after winning the U. S. Open, Serena walked the runway and debut her Spring line at New York Fashion Week, as a headliner. In 2004 she launched a clothing line called “Aneres,”and in 2009 she launched a signature collection of handbags and jewelry as well. Serena is recognized as a fashionista as well as a World Class Athlete and one of the greatest of our generation. Time Magazine recently named Serena as one of the most influential people! And that’s hard to argue J… Her spirit, passion, determination, creativity, joy and pure love that she displays not just in the game of tennis but in life is why I admire Serena Williams and will forever be a fan.
