An inspirational daily journal by a professional track & field athlete dedicated to her dream.

Hey Friends,

So I made it through another day! Today was a little more challenging but I still made it through. Coach Kennedy was on the same accord as Jo so it was perfect. It felt so good to be out there with my training partners getting in some good work. Then I came home got some food and went straight to sleep. I needed that little nap that is for sure. One thing about my asthma is once it hits I become worn out a little more easily. Since training takes so much energy anyway, once that monster asthma strikes I need to really get my rest and nap. After my nap I tackled my homework!! I actually feel really good about the paper I wrote today, in fact, I feel like I am learning somethingJ. Like Coach Kennedy use to say, the effort that you put in the class room is the same effort you will bring to the track. Although I am not in the “classroom” anymore I work hard and apply my self to all tasks I decide to take on. The dedication and hard work that I’m applying to the track is the same hard work and effort I’m applying to my class. So if my grades and output I’m getting in my class is a reflection of the output I will receive on the track I am doing great! Because in the classroom I am getting A’s!!

It’s getting late and I have an early day tomorrow starting off with weights with Robert (www.firstplaceworkouts.com) then I have body maintenance work with Rachel (www.themotionlab.com), and lastly I will be on that table getting adjusted!! I have to be ready to meet with Jo Hayes on Thursday done done done. Talk to you soon.

xoxo MacKenzie
