An inspirational daily journal by a professional track & field athlete dedicated to her dream.

Hey Guys,

I’m sorry I haven’t been writing - man this week started off ROUGH!!

Monday I did 100m hurdling practice for the 1st time in YEARS. It was fun. I got in a little SPEED work!! It will help with my hurdle technique in the 400m hurdles. I know, hurdle talk already - it’s about that time again, competition is around the corner!

Then on Tuesday I was so banged up and sore from Monday’s practice I didn’t know what to do. I woke up exhausted - it wasn’t a good look. But I had to pull myself together to tackle practice. I had to try to dig deep. I did OK - I got through practice! It was not my best practice all year but it was OK. Let’s face it though, I was not happy about it!! I know I can be a little hard on myself. After some rest and food, I started feeling better from that suspect practice I had.

Then I hit the weight room. I was really knocking it out, so that elevated my spirits some, and then DONE DONE DONE. I had to turn in my work!! And of course I had not started my case study, so I had a long night ahead of me. I was up until 4am gutting out a case study that I hope I get an A on ;-) .

That was the icing on a long day. Then today I spent most of my time resting and getting body work. I hope everyone’s week has been going well, and I will be back on track tomorrow. Talk to you soon.

xoxo MacKenzie
