Lots of people ask all the time about the movie a "League of Their Own" and then are surprised to discover that ladies are still playing baseball on a regular basis. My own sports history class has been surprised by that fact.
Nearly every day I read something that indicates there are opportunities and girls and women searching for chances to play baseball. Some new and exciting news just came out that RBI is now working with Baseball for All to promote teams in cities for girls. A team of U-15 girls will be playing later this year in Japan and the Pony League series will have a three game series played by U-14 girls to showcase their talent and to help spread the word.
