Members Selected For Academy & Awards; Six New Members via @NACWAA

The National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators (NACWAA) empowers, develops, assists, celebrates, affirms, involves and honors women in the field and takes a pro-active role in advancing them into positions of influence. Markeisha Everett (West Virginia University), Kalaya Long (Wayne State University), Helen Williams (Harvard University) and nine other individuals from various sports organizations have been selected to attend the inaugural five-day Learfield Sports Minority Academy. This event is held in partnership with the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA) and will be hosted May 19 – 23 in Dallas. Read the announcement here 

Julia Martin (University of Pennsylvania), Kaylyn Smith (Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts) and Sara Steinman (Moravian College) were named NACWAA Administrator of Tomorrow Award winners, and Katherine (Katie) McGann (University of California, San Diego) was honored with the NACWAA Judith M. Sweet Commitment Award. "NACWAA is thrilled to honor these outstanding young and aspiring athletics administrators." said Patti Phillips, NACWAA chief executive officer. Read the announcement here
