7 Days to CDA

posted by Running in the Bike Lane Triathlons from a girl's perspective. I love to run and a few years ago I found myself cycling and learning how to swim. Thus, I am now an obsessed triathlete. |

I was battling a little cold late last week that had me panicking about months of training going down the tubes for a sick race day. I rested, drank a lot of tea and oj, took some vitamin C (perhaps too much, oops), took echinacea and started to feel better by Friday afternoon.
My workouts for the weekend were short and sweet. I had a leisurely lagoon swim in Tiburon on Saturday with Kate and Preston and then we headed out on a ride of Paradise loop, 2x. It was sunny and 70 and beautiful out!
Then I said goodbye to my pretty little bike and left her in the hands of Tri Bike Transport. We'll reunite on Thursday.
Today I had a short run, just 1 hr. and 15 min. and felt like this cold might still be lingering, so it's more oj and vitamins and rest for me this week, no doubt.
We finished our group run with a breakfast and pre-race prep. I've done the miles, so many miles! We've done all the hard training, now we just have to show up for race day. And be prepared for anything and everything.
I am heading to Coeur D'Alene on Thursday morning. I've already laid everything out to pack :)
I'm planning to arm my family with digital cameras for photo opps and set up my unsuspecting sis with twitter so she can tweet about my progress during the race.
Until then, it's taper time!
