Triathlons from a girl's perspective. I love to run and a few years ago I found myself cycling and learning how to swim. Thus, I am now an obsessed triathlete.

I've been running with the Drymax Running socks for a few months now, convinced after Preston bought two exorbitantly priced pairs at Zombie Runner. I have to admit, I do love them. So much so, I was devastated that in my post Ironman induced haze, I completely forgot to retrieve my run special needs bag that contained my 2nd pair and nearly broke into tears upon this realization. Yes, they are that nice and expensive.

Not to worry, as luck would have it, ultra running friend Rick was pacing at Western States last weekend. We got to see Rick before he met his runner and conveniently enough, his sole sponsor Drymax (no pun intended), was on hand. I snagged two more pairs of the good stuff, this time the Maximum Protection Running as well as the Hot Weather Running sock.

So I have to add that initially I was a bit skeptical of Drymax socks in general, they seemed way too thick for my liking. I've always preferred the Asics Kayano socks, but these lose their "softness" after about 2 months of wearing and washing. Per Rick's recommendation and Preston's raving about the socks, I tried the Running socks and loved them.

This past week I got to test out my twor new pairs. Let's just put it this way, I can't wait to do laundry to have a fresh pair of these socks! If you ever find them on sale, I would highly recommend you purchase in bulk. They keep the feet dry, it's amazing how well they work. I had the basic pair on during the Ironman marathon and only had 1 blister on each foot by the end (this is low for me) and both were totally manageable and have since heeled. I did 10 miles in East Coast humidity on a warm day in the Hot Weather socks and my feet felt great the entire run. The main question is, how long will they continue to feel great and last. Like I said, I always like the Asics Kayano's but they lose their lust after a month or two.

Until then, Drymax you rock!
